Born in Kaifeng and now based in London, Yu Su is a musician, DJ, sound artist and occasional chef. Over the past five years, she has established herself as one of the most prominent Chinese artists on the global stage, with a singular creative voice that transcends borders and genres. Her work spans a wide sonic spectrum and has been released on labels such as Technicolor (Ninja Tune) in the UK, Music from Memory in the Netherlands and Bie Records in China, earning her a nomination for Canada’s Polaris Prize. As a DJ, her style is unpredictable and deeply personal, capable of holding the dancefloor in a state of complete hypnosis. She was recently featured on the cover of Mixmag, becoming the first Chinese artist to achieve this milestone. She has also composed music for feature films and collaborated with international brands.
